Kynoch’s humic acid fertiliser leaves a sweet taste in your mouth

KynoHumate Black® is the secret weapon if you want plants that grow fast and do not just die at the first sign of adversity.

This dark-brown substance is a liquid fertiliser that contains a lot of humic acid. With a pH of 10 to 12, it is suitable for alkaline solutions and should not be added to acidic solutions at all. The humic acid that is in this fertiliser increases the metabolism of the plant. This helps the plant to grow faster and perform better under stressful conditions.

 

What makes humic acids so effective?

Humic acids are involved in various plant and soil functions. For example, it helps to control the availability of plant nutrients. Consequently, it also controls the composition of micro-organisms in the rhizosphere.

The application of humic acid is very important for promoting root growth. It has an auxin effect on plants that particularly promotes lateral root development. In the soil, there are bacteria that live with the plant root and increase the plant’s ability to absorb nutrients through the roots. Humic acid supports these bacteria through the role they play in soil biology.

Metal ions such as iron and other micro-nutrients are transported through the plant. Humic acids promote the complexation, mobilisation and transport of these micro-elements. This affects the aluminium and iron oxides in the soil solution. Eventually, there is more phosphate available in the soil for the crops to absorb.

Too much saline is not good for crops. Humic acid combats this by protecting the cell walls of the plant through an increased amino acid concentration. This lowers the plant’s sodium uptake and thereby increases the plant’s tolerance of high saline conditions.

It is a foregone conclusion: humic acids are good for your plant. This fertiliser will surely help, whether it is a new crop that is going through its establishment stage, or a mature plant that is growing in stressful conditions.
