RECENT SUCCESS

KYNOCH FERTILIZER in training initiative to improve access to fertilizers to boost food security and enterprise development among smallholder farmers. AFAP and Kynoch Fertilizer held an entrepreneurship development program for smallholder farmers and agro dealers in the Limpopo province, one of the country’s bread baskets. The training forms part of the training and business linkages activities in Limpopo Province and over 100 agro dealers have been trained in Limpopo Province to date.

Subsistence to Abundance Project

This project (coördinated by GrainSA) is aimed at assisting the subsistence farmers in the communal areas of Mpumalanga, Kwa Zulu-Natal and the Eastern Cape to use the arable land that is available to them using the most modern, efficient and effective production practices so that each cultivated hectare produces the optimal yield possible in that area. Kynoch is proud to be involved in this project in which the support to the farmers includes training and mentoring as well as access to subsidised production inputs where the farmers will do the farming themselves.

Voerskenking van Kynoch aan Agri Hertzogville 17 Januarie 2018

Verwoestende veldbrande in Boshof omgewing het ongeveer 70 000 ha weiveld vernietig met eiendom en vee wat ook in die slag gebly het. Kynoch se Sentrale streek het besluit om hulp deur middel van ‘n voerskenking aan te bied. Kynoch Hoofbestuur het dadelik die inisiatief ondersteun.

Kynoch en VS Landbou se Jongboer komitee werk reeds sedert 2017 saam aan ‘n inisiatief om met die jong boere van AFASA/Nerpo verhoudings te bou en uit te brei. Boet Wilken (Vrystaat Landbou se Jongboer Komitee voorsitter en lusernprodusent), het onmiddelik die jong boere se betrokkendheid bevestig en hulp aangebied asook die bale teen ‘n goeie prys beskikbaar gestel aan Kynoch.

‘n Vrag lusernbale is op 17 Januarie 2018 op Sakkie en Christo Groenewald se plaas in Boshof distrik afgelaai deur Willie du Plessis wat die voer teen ‘n spesiale tarief aangery het. Volgens Christo sal die voerskenking van groot hulp wees, aangesien daar produsente is wat alle weiding verloor het.
